Ice hockey is a sport that drives the entire nation of Canada crazy. On television, commentators from Toronto and Montreal engage in heated debates, while police officers Martin (Colm Feore) and David (Patrick Huard), separated by distance, face their own communication barriers with their children. A murder case that occurs at the state line brings the two together, but the differences between the French-speaking and English-speaking regions add considerable tension to their seemingly mismatched partnership. Using clues from the tattoos on the victim and a helicopter at the scene, the two gradually inch closer to the truth, but the tattooed killer remains one step ahead, even directly taunting them on television. Throughout the investigation, Martin and David learn to find common ground and enhance their understanding, while the fervent hockey fan who views selling the team as an act of treason emerges from the shadows… This film won the 2007 Canadian Genie Award for Best Action Movie, Best Original Score, and the Best Screenplay at the Canadian Comedy Film Festival.
