Jack (Mark Duplass) has been depressed for a long time due to the death of his brother Tom. His good friend and Tom's ex-girlfriend, Iris (Emily Blunt), encourages him to ride his bike to her father's house on a small island to think about life. Upon arriving at the house, Jack unexpectedly discovers that Iris's sister Hanna (Rosemarie DeWitt) is also there. They drink, get along well, and end up having a romantic encounter.
