This short film is the second in Truffaut's famous "Antoine Series," included in the anthology "Love at 20." 17-year-old Antoine Doinel (Jean-Pierre Léaud) falls in love with a girl named Colette (Marie-France Pisier) at first sight. After a series of "warm-up preparations," he gathers the courage to flirt with her. The two often meet to chat, have coffee, and attend concerts. Antoine believes that Colette is also infatuated with him, and he makes almost crazy moves to pursue her more fervently, but Colette already has a boyfriend and sees him only as an ordinary friend.
