"Precious Secret" is adapted from Fan Yiping's novel "The Lying Village," produced by renowned filmmaker Tian Zhuangzhuang and directed by Wang Haoyi. It tells the story of a benevolent lie. In a secluded mountain village, rural teacher Wei Meixiu is seduced by the projector operator Su Fang. During her childbirth, the entire village weaves a lie, resulting in the village youth, photographer Lan Baogui, marrying her. The capable actor Zu Feng plays the photographer Lan Baogui, who, because of this lie, drops out of the prestigious Peking University he worked hard to enter and spends the rest of his life in the lonely mountains. "Precious Secret" has officially been selected for the main competition section of the first Macau International Film Festival
