In the ancient city filled with historical turmoil, two rival bathhouses, the Bian and Yang families, are locked in a fierce struggle. To avenge her husband and restore his honor, the young and beautiful manager of "Fengquan Pool," Yang Liuqing, partners with a Japanese businessman, Sakata, who has come to the ancient city to establish a bathhouse, to run "Yuhe Tang," enduring humiliation in an attempt to defeat their century-old competitor "Longquan Pool." A series of dramatic and intense commercial battles ensue. When the anti-Japanese war breaks out, Bian Jiaji, the young master of the Bian family, is imprisoned by the Japanese army for treason, and his fiery wife, Ruilan, is raped by Sakata and ultimately commits suicide to save him. Filled with rage, Bian Jiaji pretends to be a "traitor" to deceive the Japanese military. Yang Liuqing, shocked to learn that Sakata is actually a Japanese spy infiltrating the ancient city, undergoes a profound awakening, realizing that her remaining conscience outweighs her family vendetta, and sets fire to "Yuhe Tang." In preparation for a “great purge,” military plans are secretly formulated, gathering Japanese officials and intelligence leaders in the North China war zone in the ancient city. Due to strict Japanese military vigilance, Bian Jiaji's carefully devised revenge plan cannot be carried out. In desperation, he thinks of Lingzhi, the woman who has been entwined with him throughout his life, and manages to deceive her into obtaining a potent ancestral poison known as "Soul-夺," using the name of the special "medicinal bath" once enjoyed by Emperor Qianlong to entertain Japanese generals, creating a legendary and sensational "Bathhouse Massacre" that turns the century-old bathhouse into a graveyard for invaders!
