"Heavenly Eye" tells the story of Cheng Jianru, the captain of the criminal police team of the Yanquing City Public Security Bureau, whose wife, Xiang Zhen, unexpectedly dies in a car accident. The driver, Bi Jiancai, is murdered, and his car is burned to destroy the evidence. The investigation into a large bank card found at Bi Jiancai's home gradually points to Hu Junqing. Hu Junqing was once a leader in the underworld of Yanquing City, but was later imprisoned for his crimes. After being released, he transformed into a construction businessman. He formed a brotherhood with Tang Wanfeng and Xiao Zhenbei, skillfully seizing control of the construction industry in Yanquing City. The eldest brother, Tang Wanfeng, with his keen economic judgment, identified high-tech software development as a potentially lucrative economic platform, leading him to split the original Tianyuan Group into three separate entities that appeared unrelated but were secretly connected through related transactions. They aimed to package Wansheng Technology Co. to qualify for listing as a public company, creating a localized economic miracle to cover up his goals of money laundering. To cut off evidence and conceal larger criminal activities, Tang Wanfeng exploits the special relationship between his company's senior software designer, Shu Mengzhen, and Cheng Jianru's daughter, Xiang Kun.
