The story takes place at the end of the Han Dynasty, where Dong Zhuo (played by 德力格尔) wields power and harbors ambitions for usurpation. His adopted son, Lü Bu (played by Huang Lei), is a young hero, and Dong's tyranny makes everyone uneasy. Wang Yun (played by Fu Biao) intends to eliminate the treacherous minister and takes the extraordinarily beautiful Diao Chan (played by Chen Hong) as his adopted daughter, deciding to use her to remove Dong Zhuo. Unaware of the plot, Dong Zhuo and his son are invited to Wang's residence for a banquet.
