The talented youth Tang Bohu (played by Huang Xiaoming) is brilliant yet cynical, showing no interest in fame and fortune. After a major defeat of the Hangzhou scholar Song Renjie (played by Zhang Mingjian), a grudge is formed between them. To rein in Bohu, his mother arranges for him to marry eight ugly wives. On his wedding night, Bohu flees and encounters Qiuxiang (played by Zheng Jiayu), a breathtaking beauty visiting Suzhou for incense offerings. Upon learning that Qiuxiang is a maid at the residence of the Minister of Hangzhou, Bohu immediately goes there with his brother Zhu Zhishan (played by Feng Lei). In Hangzhou, they meet the frail scholar Zhou Wenbin (played by Mao Le), who is falsely accused of a crime. Bohu defends him with eloquence, gaining widespread fame. To get closer to Qiuxiang, Bohu and Zhishan sell themselves to the Minister's household, changing their names to Hua An and Hua Wu, and become house servants. However, the prince has intentions while the goddess remains indifferent; Qiuxiang not only has no feelings for Bohu but also scorns him. The maid "tomboy" Shiliu (played by He Meitian) has several clashes with Zhishan, leading to constant misunderstandings. The 28-episode large-scale historical martial arts comedy drama "The Charming Young Talent Tang Bohu" stars Huang Xiaoming and Zheng Jiayu. This series will reinterpret this classic romantic love story.
