The film tells two love stories that occur simultaneously in different places. Unable to have children, Gwen and Rhys travel to Patagonia, Argentina, hoping to temporarily escape their troubles and repair their relationship. Meanwhile, an Argentine grandmother goes to Wales to seek her roots, accompanied by her reluctant nephew Alejandro, who soon falls in love with a local Welsh girl named Sissy.
