Accompanied by a servant clapping coconut shells, King Arthur (played by Graham Chapman) pretends to ride a horse in search of knights and castles, witnessing the dire state of the people along the way and engaging in nonsensical conversations with various locals. Eventually, he gathers a group of Knights of the Round Table. They all pretend to ride horses to Camelot, where they encounter God appearing in the sky, who instructs them to search for the Holy Grail. They attempt to storm a French castle using the "Wooden Badger" tactic but forget to hide inside the wooden badger, leading to them being defeated by the French. After their failure, King Arthur and the knights split up to seek the Holy Grail, a mission of great significance, as more unreliable people and events await this group of unreliable knights... This film is the only "absurd" movie to enter the top 50 rankings on IMDB. The six core members of the "Monty Python" troupe each play 4-10 roles, covering most of the characters in the film.
