In March 1943, after landing in French Morocco, Patton (played by George C. Scott) was suddenly appointed as the commander of the U.S. II Corps in North Africa. With a strong personality, a passion for classical culture, and a deep knowledge of military history, Patton quickly transformed the disorganized North African troops with his iron-fisted discipline. After a series of fierce battles, he, along with the British forces led by Montgomery, drove the "Desert Fox" Rommel out of North Africa. Subsequently promoted to commander of the Seventh Army, Patton planned to occupy Sicily, capturing key military strongholds before Montgomery and achieving great military success, although he faced criticism for risking soldiers' lives for glory. After successfully occupying Sicily, Patton was condemned by the media for harshly reprimanding a soldier, forcing the iron-willed general to publicly apologize... However, with a strong background in warfare, Patton was soon given new responsibilities...
