A small town’s television station is preparing to record a program about the city's revolutionary memories on Christmas Eve, which is also the anniversary of the revolution. The story begins in the morning with the station director preparing for the recording. One of the guests, Manescu, is a history teacher who has just woken up from a hangover and immediately starts borrowing money to supplement his salary, for which he even apologizes to a Chinese man he insulted while drunk the night before. Another guest, Piskos, lives alone after retirement and is invited by his neighbor to play Santa Claus, to which he gladly agrees. At the scheduled time, the recording of the program begins. Manescu recounts the revolutionary deeds from the Romanian revolution day, but numerous viewers call in to dispute his views, claiming he is lying. The atmosphere of debate in the studio instantly becomes lively. What conclusion will this small television station reach regarding the great revolutionary issues discussed?
