Lionel (played by Edward Norton) has a very tragic past; his mother passed away when he was very young, leaving him orphaned and sent to an orphanage. Fortunately, there he met a man named Frank (played by Bruce Willis), who provided protection and support to Lionel during his years in the orphanage. After leaving the orphanage, Frank established a private detective agency, and Lionel worked there. One day, Frank set out to deliver a very dangerous and mysterious document, which unfortunately cost him his life. Frank's death was a huge blow to Lionel, but now is not the time for mourning; Lionel is determined to uncover the truth behind this death to seek justice for his old friend.
