Da Zhi (Tony Leung Chiu-wai) works in an arcade, lacking ambition and hoping to just pass the days. The only thing he excels at is playing video games, which allows him to show off among much younger kids. A Mei (Romy Cheng) is Da Zhi's girlfriend, and although Da Zhi has always been indifferent about their relationship, the loyal and virtuous A Mei still tenderly accommodates his caprices. One day, A Mei inadvertently learns about Da Zhi's infidelity and, heartbroken, decides to leave him for good. Meanwhile, Da Zhi accidentally gets involved with the girlfriend of a gang boss, which leads him to danger. The ensuing perils and troubles prompt Da Zhi to realize what truly deserves to be cherished in life. However, does he still have a chance to mend A Mei's already shattered heart?
