In a small town 20 miles west of Washington D.C., farmer Tom (Charlie Sheen) discovers a crop circle in his field. Local reporter Cindy (Anna Faris) takes a keen interest in the story and, despite opposition from higher-ups, pursues the investigation. Tom's brother George (Simon Rex), obsessed with hip-hop music, neglects farming, causing Tom much frustration. After the appearance of the crop circle, the town's children begin exhibiting strange behaviors. Cindy’s friend Brenda mysteriously dies after watching a videotape, and Cindy herself receives a mysterious phone call announcing that she will die in seven days. Desperate, Cindy seeks help from George and manages to meet a black prophet, discovering that the series of bizarre incidents are linked to a lighthouse. Meanwhile, Cindy warns people in crisis through television about a potential alien invasion, prompting even the President of the United States (Leslie Nielsen) to take the matter seriously...
