Just turned eighteen, Yoyo (played by Charlene Choi) is full of confidence with numerous suitors, believing she possesses extraordinary charm. At her parents' request, she marries Zhang Shisan (played by Ekin Cheng), her betrothed, in the UK. Both find this absurd situation deeply annoying but feel unable to defy their elders, so they pretend to be married and plan to divorce a year later. Zhang Shisan brings his grandmother's heirloom to Hong Kong for Yoyo. To keep him around, Yoyo tells Shisan that he can teach at her all-girls school, which would help him gather materials for his master's thesis. Shisan helps Yoyo meet boys; after a breakup, he assists her in overcoming her heartbreak, and eventually, they become intimate.
