After Miriam (Léa Drucker) divorces her husband Antoine (Denis Ménochet), she wishes for her 12-year-old son Julien (Thomas Gioria) to stay away from his violent father, so she applies to the court for sole custody. However, Antoine successfully persuades the judge in court, and the judge ultimately rules that both parties have joint custody. Devastated, Miriam not only has to accept the ruling she did not desire, but also must be wary of her ex-husband's ulterior motives.
