In the small town of Beaumont, parties with drinking and lively music are prohibited, and there are even specific laws regulating the behavior of local teenagers. The adults are so on edge due to an incident years ago when five vibrant youths lost their lives in a car accident during an outing. The chilling atmosphere in the town is incomprehensible to Ren (played by Kenny Wormald), who has just moved here from the big city of Boston. Passionate about life, Ren decides to take the lead and fight against the decayed system. In Beaumont, Ren meets the beautiful girl Ariel (played by Julianne Hough), whose wit and charm he cannot resist, and he quickly falls in love. However, Ariel has a troublesome father, none other than one of the lawmakers in the town — Reverend Shaw (played by Dennis Quaid). A prolonged “war” begins.
