Cheng Hui (played by Li Meifeng) has a mundane and dull marriage, but she is a romantic woman who loves to fantasize, so she can only express her hidden passion in her diary. One day, a thief breaks into Cheng Hui's home, and detective Gao Zheng (played by Wan Ziliang) is assigned to apprehend him. In a twist of fate, he accidentally finds Cheng Hui's diary and discovers the fiery spirit hidden within this seemingly cold woman. Gao Zheng is unable to control his desire to get close to Cheng Hui, going so far as to hide his identity as a police officer to cater to her interests. Faced with this suddenly tall man, Cheng Hui's heart flutters, and the distance between them grows closer. During his last operation, Gao Zheng shoots a thief, and that thief's brother decides to seek revenge, targeting Cheng Hui. To save Cheng Hui, Gao Zheng reveals his true identity, and Cheng Hui, realizing she has been deceived, chooses to leave in anger and sorrow.
