Comic artist Jiang Zhi enters a creative bottleneck after being unable to conceive the main antagonist, the mysterious assassin Pandais, for her comic "The Maze with Cats." After a dispute with her editor boyfriend, she accidentally falls into the comic world of her dreams and becomes her own comic's female lead—live-streaming host Youmao. The god of comics tells her that she can only escape the comic world by figuring out who the antagonist Pandais is. Jiang Zhi tries to fast-track the story's progress by leveraging her identity as the comic's author, but finds that rushing leads to changes in the plot.
