Wealthy businessman Master Chao made a will on his deathbed, leaving all his inheritance to his daughter Fei Fei (played by Ng Man-tat), who is far away in France, with the will kept by Second Master Chao. Master Chao's unscrupulous son Qiu Qian tries every means to modify the will, while Second Master's foolish son Da Sha also wants to obtain the will for private modification. One night, Lucky Star (played by Stephen Chow) is caught stealing at the Chao family home by Da Sha, who, seeing his stealing skills, orders Lucky Star to help him steal the will.
