Hamilton (played by Clark Gable) is a lawyer who lives a mechanical and rigid life, with a meticulous and orderly personality. One day, the news of his brother's death shatters Hamilton's peaceful days. To handle his brother's affairs, Hamilton travels to Italy and is shocked to learn that his brother has left behind a ten-year-old son, Nando (played by Marietto).
