The film is written and directed by La Huajia, a graduate of Beijing Film Academy, with renowned director Wanma Cade serving as producer and famous cinematographer Lü Songye handling the photography, while Chen Zhong from Qing Ying Studio and Meng Zhong from the Literature Department serve as producers. The story is adapted from the short story of the same name by the author Tsai Lang Dong, depicting the life of a little boy named Wangza, who lives in a rural Tibetan area and has always wanted a beautiful pair of rain boots. However, after he gets the boots, it never rains. He hopes for the next heavy rain so he can wear these rain boots on a rainy day...
