Gon’s father is a top hunter who left him at a young age. Years later, the intelligent and kind-hearted Gon decides to become a hunter himself in hopes of finding his unseen father. During the process of obtaining his hunter license, Gon meets Killua from a family of assassins, Kurapika the last survivor of the Kurta Clan, and Leorio who aspires to be a doctor to help the poor. He also forms a complicated relationship with Hisoka, a mysterious magician who prey on strong opponents. After facing numerous challenges, Gon successfully obtains his hunter license, but for him, the real tests are just beginning.
