The monk decides to elope with the girl out of his own kindness. In London, a photojournalist (Katrin Cartlidge) discusses their fading relationship with her husband in a restaurant, and during a heated argument, a racist bursts into the restaurant and opens fire. Love suddenly becomes clear between life and death. A photojournalist (Rade Serbedzija) leaves behind a close friend, returning to his hometown in Macedonia after 16 years. Here, he encounters old friends, his Orthodox brethren, and the ethnic tensions with Albanians. The photojournalist attempts to resolve the disputes through reconciliation, but it is far from as simple as he imagined. "A circle is not a round." Three interwoven stories depict the tragedies caused by misunderstandings across different cultures, religions, and ethnicities.
