The owner of the century-old Chenggong Pharmaceutical, Mr. Li (portrayed by Liu Hua), decides to sell off real estate instead of continuing to sell medicine. He hires Hong Kong executive Yuan Dazhi (portrayed by Lin Junxian) to connect him with Japanese buyer Mr. Miyashita. However, Mr. Miyashita is only interested in the exclusive formula of the Yulu San Shen pills, which can cure insomnia.
