Andrew, the robot (played by Robin Williams), has been the butler for four generations of the Neil family. Initially, the Neil family treated him merely as a machine for chores, but they gradually realized that Andrew is more than just a household robot; he laughs with them, understands human customs, and experiences human emotions.As a young girl, Andrew developed feelings for the Neil family's daughter, but lacking a feelings module, he allowed her to marry the wrong person. Without feelings, Andrew could live alone by the seaside, building a house. One day, he encounters a mechanical expert and mad scientist who installs a feelings module for him.From that moment on, Andrew experiences jealousy and love for the first time.
