This is a serious matter; if the handgun is used by criminals to commit a crime, Fat Sha will be in big trouble. PTU (Police Tactical Unit) officer He Wenzhan (played by Lau Ching-wan), out of loyalty, promises to recover the handgun before dawn and leads a search operation with a few subordinates. On the other hand, complications arise: officer Kat (played by Amy Kwok) insists on adhering to discipline and reports the matter to superiors; meanwhile, on the same night, CID's Madam Zhang (played by Rachel Lee) suspects a connection between Fat Sha and the triads while taking on a mafia murder case, resulting in a disagreement with PTU. The conflicts, struggles, and tensions between individuals and departments gradually unfold under the veil of night.
