The novelist Daniel (played by Oscar Martínez) has had a smooth career since his debut and has now received the honor of the Nobel Prize in Literature, reaching the peak of his profession. However, this honor has not brought him satisfaction; on the contrary, Daniel worries that fame and wealth will strip away his inspiration and sharpness for literary creation. Five years have quickly passed, and Daniel’s popularity remains high, with continuous invitations and awards, but the aloof and reclusive man instructs his assistant to decline them all. A letter from the small town of Salas catches Daniel's attention; Salas is his long-lost hometown, which now invites him to return and accept the "Outstanding Citizen" award. Without informing the media or friends, Daniel embarks on the journey back home, where he reunites with his former lover, Eileen (played by Andrea Frigerio), who is now married, and her husband is none other than Daniel's old friend Antonio (played by Dady Brieva).
