Katherine Waterston joins the biopic [Roald Amundsen]. Directed by Espen Sandberg ([Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales]). The film focuses on the Antarctic expedition of Norwegian explorer "the first man in the polar regions," Roald Amundsen (played by Pål Sverre Hagen), with Waterston portraying his lover. The film will be shot in Iceland, the Czech Republic, and Norway, is pre-sold at the Cannes Film Festival, distributed in the Nordics by SF Studios, and will be released next year.
