In the mid-16th century, after the prince Abdureshiti Khan of the Yarkand Khanate in Xinjiang, China, succeeded his father Said Khan's throne, he pacified the chaos, unified the khanate, allowing the people to rest and thrive in peace and contentment. As a result, the economy and culture of the khanate flourished like never before. The folk artist Ma Hemuti lived with his daughter Amanisa Khan, and they became close friends with the expelled court musician Ulaimer. During their time together, Amanisa Khan studied poetry and music theory under Ulaimer. A few years later, the exceptionally talented and intelligent Amanisa Khan not only mastered poetry and rhythm but also grew into a stunning beauty. One day, while traveling incognito, the khan chanced upon Amanisa Khan and was captivated by her beauty, singing, and extensive knowledge of poetry. Ignoring the opposition of the queen and the ministers led by the right minister, he decisively brought Amanisa Khan into the palace. In the palace, Amanisa Khan faced various discrimination and sabotage from the conservative feudal forces, the scheming right minister, and the queen, enduring great hardships. However, Amanisa Khan did not lose heart; with unwavering faith and the help of her teacher Ulaimer, she overcame numerous difficulties, collecting, organizing, and compiling the scattered folk muqam melodies into twelve muqam suites, making muqam music an immortal chapter and making a significant contribution to the classical music of the Uyghur people. However, Ulaimer tragically fell victim to the malicious schemes of Yishan and the right minister. Amanisa Khan, meanwhile, fell into sadness and frustration during the khan's expedition against the rebels, ultimately passing away from illness. Nevertheless, the twelve muqam suites, which hold artistic and documentary value, were deeply loved by the people and passed down through generations, making Amanisa Khan a legendary figure celebrated by many.
