A weary psychologist, He Ning (played by Wan Siu-Lun), returns home to receive a mysterious package containing an exquisite double fish jade pendant. Shortly after, he receives a call instructing him to go to the dilapidated and uninhabited room 702, where he discovers that his patient, the depressed woman Li Zeshang (played by Yang Xin-Rui), has hanged herself. The police arrive and arrest He Ning on the spot; his friend, detective Ling Zhijie (played by Huang Zheng), starts questioning him, forcing He Ning to recall the bizarre events of the past few days. After performing a routine therapy session for Li Zeshang, the receptionist hands him a jade pendant. Coincidentally, it's his wife Dong Xinjie’s (played by Yu Silu) birthday, so He Ning brings a gift home after work.
