"Hung Gar and Wing Chun," directed by the legendary martial arts director Chang Cheh, with martial arts guidance by Tang Shun and Lau Kar-leung, unfolds through the training and breaking of martial skills. The story depicts the Eight Banner Martial Arts School serving the Qing dynasty, which invites masters Ba Gang (played by Leung Ka-Yin) and Yu Bi (played by Wang Lung-Wei) to confront the Shaolin disciples at Master Lin Zantian's Shaolin School. Among those who narrowly escape from the martial arts school are Mai Han (played by Tang Yan-can), Chen Baorong (played by Qi Guanjun), Li Yao (played by Fu Sheng), and He Zhenggang (played by Lau Ka-Fai). They hasten to the deep mountains to seek help from Master Lin Zantian, who sends Mai and He to learn "Ground-Drilling Eagle Claw Kung Fu" and "Great Force Eagle Claw Kung Fu" from Eagle Claw King, hoping to counter Ba's "Iron Shirt" and Yu's qi gong.
