Police academy student Yin Hao (Zhang Yishan) and his girlfriend—film directing student Xiao Nuan (Ding Ding) go to a quarantine island to shoot a documentary for Xiao Nuan's graduation project. Besides filming the documentary, Yin Hao has his own motives; he hopes to further solidify their romantic relationship on the island. The two unexpectedly encounter a wealthy businessman, Ding Zichu, who has come to the island in search of his missing daughter, Nana, but unexpectedly meets his demise. A fire from thirty years ago pulls everyone into a whirlpool of events.
