This film is adapted from Chetan Bhagat's 2009 novel of the same name, telling the story of a Punjabi guy, Krish, and a Tamil Brahmin girl, Ananya, as they navigate their journey from love to the challenges of marriage. When a shrewd man meets a clever woman, is it a perfect match or a battle of wits? When a domineering mother-in-law encounters a self-righteous mom, is it a life-and-death clash or a never-ending rivalry? When love confronts the future and marriage faces gang conflicts, will they be able to deal with separation, betrayal, exploitation, cultural differences, dysfunctional families, hysterical relatives, and a cutthroat environment? The inspiration for the work comes from the real experiences of the author and his wife: two young people from different social strata and cultural backgrounds in India, deeply in love and preparing to marry, but whose parents do not approve. To transform their love into marriage, they need to fight a tough battle in front of their elders. Rebellion and struggle are straightforward, but achieving success is difficult. Can they do it? Did they overcome numerous obstacles, or did they give up halfway due to unavoidable circumstances? In recent years, Chetan Bhagat's works have continuously been adapted into films, such as "Hello," "3 Idiots," and "The Girl in Room 105."
