After eight grueling years of resistance against Japanese invasion and the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the new China has finally been established on the disaster-prone land of China. However, in the lofty mountains and deep forests of our country's border areas, imperialism and remnants of the Kuomintang are lurking. They collude with local bandits and conservative forces, continuously supplying each other with arms and ammunition, and are always plotting schemes to subvert the new China. Wei Fu, the leader of the caravan, is one of the representatives of the reactionary forces. He colludes with reactionaries both domestically and abroad, leveraging his knowledge of the terrain to constantly smuggle weapons and communication equipment into our territory. Wei Fu's actions have aroused the vigilance and attention of patriotic citizens. The Hongpo Patrol Team dispatched Squad Leader Feng Tinggui and Zhu Linsheng for tracking investigation after receiving reports. The two disguised themselves as horsemen to approach Wei Fu, while the cunning villain revealed his ferocious fangs... This film is adapted from Bai Hua's short story "A Horse Caravan Without a Bell."
