In Hong Kong's Causeway Bay, bustling and chaotic, two major forces in the underworld, Hong Xing and Dong Xing, clash, competing for power. The leader of Hong Xing, Hong Sheng (played by Gu Feng), is brave and shrewd, admired by his subordinates for his loyalty, yet he has a strained relationship with his son Hong Fei (played by Tony Leung). Hong Fei has distanced himself from the underworld, living a carefree life alone. One day, Hong Xing's henchman, Xiao Chun (played by Jordan Chan), accidentally encounters Dong Xing's leader's son, A Bao, and his right-hand man, La Ji. Just when they are in danger, Hong Fei comes to their rescue. Xiao Chun holds him in great admiration and introduces his sister Xiao Tong (played by Lisa Wang) to Hong Fei. As a journalist, Xiao Tong has long admired the heroes from Jin Yong's novels and possesses a romantic attachment to the world of the underworld. Consequently, feelings gradually develop between Xiao Tong and Hong Fei.
Hong Sheng, now older, plans to retire from the underworld, but on the night of the ceremony, he is harassed by Dong Xing, causing him to fall ill. With Xiao Tong's encouragement, Hong Fei reconciles with his father. Meanwhile, the conflict between Hong Xing and Dong Xing intensifies, leading to an impending storm in the underworld…
