On the battlefield in Iraq, U.S. Marine John Triton (played by John Cena) ventures alone into the enemy's den to rescue his comrades. Although he successfully saves them, he is forced to retire due to disobeying orders from headquarters. Returning to his hometown, John reunites with his long-lost wife, Kate (played by Kelly Carlson). Unwilling to stay idle at home, John finds a security job but is fired on his first day. To alleviate his depression, the couple decides to go on a road trip. At a gas station, they encounter jewel thief Rome (played by Robert Patrick) and his gang. A conflict erupts with passing police officers, and after a gunfight, Rome's gang successfully escapes, taking Kate hostage. This sudden turn of events awakens John's fighting spirit, and he begins to track down the robbers alone...
