"Daughter's Heart" tells the story of the feud between the Cai and Wang families during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China: Cai family young lady Cai Zhaodi (played by Fu Heqing) falls in love with Wang family young master Wang Shihong (played by Zong Fengyan), but Wang Shihong already has a wife, Li Yuqing. After Cai Zhaodi collaborates with Wang family's elder, Wang Tiancai (played by Ren Xuehai), to frame Li Yuqing, she successfully marries into the Wang family.
