Passionate chef Zhao Qun (Chen Xiang) faces the transformation of an old factory into a cutting-edge art district. Under the wheels of time, the decades-old staff canteen is also facing closure. The canteen staff pooled together 100,000 yuan of hard-earned money to contract the canteen. An accident leads the young chef Zhao Qun, who is skilled in both fighting and cooking, and the extremely unreliable uncle Lao Tie (Yingda) to burn the 100,000 yuan. To fill this “huge” gap, the two try various methods to make money, even reaching the point of selling their bodies. Just when they are nearly in despair, they suddenly see a glimmer of hope: a super prize blood-boiling band contest is about to begin! To win the grand prize and save the canteen, they search for former music industry experts and eventually find the legendary guitarist Lao Huang (Anthony Wong) and the pipa master Lao Yan (Dai Liren) hidden in a small barbershop. Thus, a handsome man leads three uncles through a series of farcical tribulations, and the "Big Knife" band becomes a historical oddity, proving the saying that a handsome guy who cannot sing is not a good chef.
