Jiale (played by Xu Jiale) is a clever yet mischievous child who is seen as a headache by the school. His pregnant mother (played by Yang Yanyan) is overwhelmed with work and household chores and often receives complaint calls from the school, leaving her quite helpless. In the end, she has to hire a Filipino maid, Telly (played by Angeli Bayani), to help with the household and take care of Jiale. At first, Jiale is quite resistant to Telly and finds various ways to bully her. However, Telly, who needs to support her family, does her best to survive in this household. As Jiale's parents are both preoccupied with their own issues and unable to pay attention to him, he and Telly gradually develop a deeper bond.
