Photographer Duck (Terrence Dashon Howard) and journalist Simon (Richard Gere) are a pair of life-and-death partners who navigate the dangers of gunfire daily, bringing battlefield news to people around the world from the most perilous front lines. With their reliable and authentic reporting, Duck and Simon achieve the coveted Emmy Award in the journalism field, reaching the pinnacle of their careers. One day, during an assignment, an accident occurs, and Simon goes missing. Subsequently, Duck receives a promotion, while Simon remains unheard of. Time passes, and five years later, when Duck returns to Sarajevo with his new partner Benjamin (Jesse Eisenberg), Simon unexpectedly reappears before them. Simon's return reveals a heavyweight explosive story, prompting Duck, Benjamin, and Simon to decide to venture into the danger zone.
