Renee Chaplin (played by Felicity Mason) is a beautiful girl in the town who has recently inherited her family's legacy and farm. However, with fortune comes misfortune; due to debts left by her family, her newly acquired property and the farm she grew up in are taken away by the bank. Heartbroken, Renee decides to leave her hometown with her boyfriend and move to another city. Just as they are about to leave, a multitude of intensely burning meteors suddenly fall from the sky. People are struck by the meteors but soon get up, transformed into brutal, ruthless, bloodthirsty living dead. Renee's boyfriend is no exception, and just when it seems he will kill her, she is saved by farmer Marion (played by Mungo McKay). She and a few other survivors must find a way to escape this infected death town...
