After her strict father's intervention, 13-year-old girl Lily sets her beloved dog Hagen free, turning him into a stray. What kind of story will unfold as Lily seeks to find her dog again? The title "White God" pays homage to "White Dog." During filming, a record-breaking 274 dogs were used, most of which came from animal rescue centers. "White God" premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, where it won the highest award of that section, the Un Certain Regard Prize.
