Mason Lu Er (Zhang Tong) encounters the emperor, who is under house arrest by the Empress Dowager, while repairing the royal palace. The emperor tattoos Lu Er's private area and issues a decree appointing him to rescue the Chancellor (Wang Jinsong) from the dungeon. Lu Er accepts the mission and meticulously devises a plan to rescue the Chancellor. He poses as a robber to infiltrate the dungeon but unexpectedly meets the casino owner Hong Zhong (Huang Xiaolei), and they hit it off.
