Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) was once a battlefield reporter navigating through war zones, but now he is employed by the CIA as an undercover agent in Iraq, constantly tracking the notorious terrorist Al-Saleem (Alon Aboutboul). His boss, Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe), controls the situation from afar in the United States using his computer. Through the confession of a terrorist who refuses to become a human bomb, Roger learns that Al-Saleem is planning a new wave of terrorist attacks. In the ensuing conflict, Roger’s assistant is tragically killed, and he himself is wounded in multiple places. Just as he is recovering, he is sent to Oman by Hoffman.
