The film is adapted from the forensic novel "The Corpse Whisperer" by Qin Ming. It tells the story of Qin Ming (played by Yan Yikuan), known as the "Corpse Whisperer" with a "ghostly hand and a compassionate heart," who has dissected over 1,000 corpses without ever making a mistake. An unexpected discovery of the "Silent Body Master," who had been preserved in formaldehyde for six years, leads to claims of homicide, sparking media skepticism over misjudgments and placing him in the public spotlight. Guided by clues left on the bodies, Qin Ming, with the help of his intern Jia Jia (played by Dai Si) and police captain Lin Tao (played by Geng Le), uncovers the secrets behind a 16-year-old snow disaster murder case, the six-year misjudged homicide case of the "Silent Body Master," and the unsolved IT man's lung explosion case. After going through a series of changes, Qin Ming ultimately becomes a "Death Interpreter" who speaks for the dead and stands for the rights of the living.
