Why do people yearn for Tibet? What is there? What kind of life do the people there lead? In August 2013, ten people, eight MINIs, five routes, and 70,000 kilometers: from the Sichuan-Tibet line, Qinghai-Tibet line, New Tibet line, Yunnan-Tibet line, to the Himalayan line, we journeyed to Tibet. With the Tibetan sentiment brewed over generations and a production period of over six months, five teams spent a month on-site filming. The original production team of "Urban Micro Travel" presents the purest, simplest, and perhaps, the most unseen Tibet with the sincerest attitude. The magnificent starry sky visible with the Milky Way, the sky burial ceremony where the body is dedicated to the eagle, and the construction of the Vajrayana stupa with fine sand that takes seven days to build and is destroyed in an instant... Setting aside the well-known symbols of Tibet, we capture a more authentic nature, folklore, and religion, exploring unknown ways of life in this mysterious land. At the same time, we also focus on those rooted here: a monk who has secluded himself for 30 years on the roadside, a solitary and tranquil monk guarding the tomb of the Tibetan king, a Tibetan-Han mixed individual producing custom yak wool scarves for European luxury brands in the mountains, and the pilgrims who prostrate all the way to Lhasa in the sincerest manner... Beautiful scenery, extraordinary customs, simple life, devout faith... or something else, everyone has their own answer to "Journey to Tibet."
