The young monk Kung Fu (played by Zhang Zhuang) is small in age but possesses great martial arts skills. In order to inherit the martial arts ultimate skill "Nanping Fist," Kung Fu practices diligently every day, defeating his senior brothers one after another. However, his master informs him that to gain the right of inheritance, he must defeat a mysterious figure, and the bell on Kung Fu's hand will guide him to this unseen rival. Kung Fu arrives in Japan and is taken in by A Quan (played by Izumi Hinako), who runs a Chinese restaurant. In a chance encounter, Kung Fu saves A Quan's granddaughter Riko (played by Nanami Tsubimoto), after which Kung Fu disguises himself as Riko's younger brother and follows her to her school. At the school, a female teacher (played by Mayumi Sada), who is actually a spy sent by the dark Ministry of Education, is secretly planning an evil conspiracy, and Riko becomes her hostage.
