The plot of "Catching Demons" follows Wen Zisheng (played by Zhuang Kaixun), a fierce homicide detective in charge of investigating a headless female corpse case. During the investigation, he encounters the cold female forensic doctor Han Xue Ning (played by Shao Yuwei), who comes to perform the autopsy.
